Toy Story is a core memory for me. I've watched every film in the cinemas and raised my kids through the journey of Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the gang. We have Toy Story toys in various locations in our house, peering at us from bookshelves or corners of rooms.
Rarely from cupboards of course…IYKYK that you can't possibly throw out toys or hide them in cupboards.... that's what the Toy Story franchise has done to us. Because toys are real, don't you know?
The debate about whether toys come to life when we're not looking, aside – the movies are heartwarming and beautifully written and full of joy. When the story seemingly wrapped up after Toy Story 4, I was sad. Did they wrap up the story well? Yes. Am I glad that we get another instalment with Toy Story 5? You bet. Tickets are booked for a family viewing this weekend. Even the big kids still want to watch it.
Speaking of Storytelling, when I heard that Pixar were partnering with Canva to bring out a series of official Toy Story 5 templates, I was excited. Because I knew they would be fun and quality – and of course, fun to print!
